My Photo Details

I’m a freelance photographer and have been going for 6 years now. My current kit consists of:

  • Primary: Canon EOS 5D MkII
  • Backup: Canon EOS 400D

  • Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4 L IS USM
  • Canon EFS 18-55mm (kit lens)
  • Canon EF 70-200mm 1:4 L IS USM
  • Canon EF 50mm 1:1.8 II
  • Sigma 10-20mm 1:4-5.6 EX DC HSM

Other Gear:

  • Tripod: Manfrotto 190 X PROB
  • Tripod Head: Manfrotto 804RC2 Head
  • Camera Backpack: Lowepro Primus AW
  • Flash: Canon Speedlite 430EX II

My specialist subjects are night shots, landscapes and people and I currently work with Marie Curie Cancer Care and music magazines (inc. No-TiTLE) in Leeds. Some of the shots will be featured on this blog with the rest on my photography portfolio.

  3. Excellent photos Thorstein,
    I partially love the second to last photo of the “low hills” in todays Black & White Landscape Photos from the Lake District. I found your blog though WordPress “latest post” list, I’m very very much an amateur on the photo front, just point and click LOL so it’s nice to see from your tips and posts how I might improve my lighting, composition etc. I’ll be checking in regularly, Thanks!
