Black & White Landscape Photos from the Lake District
The missus and I had a weekend break in Hawkshead in the Lake District last weekend to escape work and wedding planning (the latter is mainly me). Our itinerary was hiking, which was a great opportunity to explore and photograph some of the lovely Lake District landscapes.
Our route took us across Skelwith, from Hawkshead Hill all the way to Skelwith Bridge. The weather was partly cloudy and 10 degrees celcius; lovely for a day’s hiking.
Using my Canon 24-105mm and Sigma 10-20mm, the following were some of the favourite captures. Click the images for larger view.

The trees of the Lake District were magical, and do in this image help create a gloomy look with the dark skies.

We found these trees at the Iron Keld tree plantation, a plantation which was ravaged by a storm a few years back, causing most of the trees to fall. You can wonder whether these trees are also a testament of that same storm...
I didn’t just produce Black & White Landscape photos, so you might see some additional photos here soon. To see the rest of the landscape photos, go to my smugmug.
No-TiTLE Magazine Issue 26 – Published Photos
Another issue of No-TiTLE Magazine is out and again I’ve contributed with a photo. This time it is the main feature with Black Diamond Bay, the band that won the No-TiTLE New Music Competition and therefore also a feature in the magazine. I caught up with them at the Moor Music Festival to take this picture which would end up in the magazine.
I’m really happy with the way it’s turned out. If you want to see the feature in the flesh, check out the No-TiTLE Magazine website for full details on where in Leeds the magazine can be picked up.
